Molti fan dei Pearl Jam sapranno che a maggio uscirà un nuovo disco di Eddie Vedder, Ukulele Songs. Quello che invece forse molti non sanno è che - in vista di un più corposo tour americano in estate - Vedder ha scaldato i motori con un bel giro di concerti in Australia. Quattordici date dal 10 marzo al 1° aprile, sparse tra i teatri di Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, saltando fino alle remote coste occidentali a Perth.

Confermando quella che è una delle migliori abitudini dei Pearl Jam, Vedder si è divertito a proporre un repertorio a dir poco eterogeneo. In quattordici concerti ha suonato 76 canzoni diverse: 14 tratte dai suoi dischi solisti (Into the Wild, The Ukulele Songs...), 28 dei Pearl Jam (almeno una per ogni album) e 34 cover (Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, James Taylor, Nick Cave, Nine Inch Nails...).
